Maria A

Maria Agnes was born and raised in Jakarta, Indonesia and moved to Melbourne, Australia to study fashion design. She then worked as a fashion model, travelling extensively across Asia, signed with agencies in Singapore, Malaysia, Bangkok and Hong Kong. Moving home to Jakarta, she secured lead roles in successful movies, winning the Indonesian MTV Movie Award for her role in the comedy, 30 Mencari Cinta. Her modelling work continued, included catwalk, editorial and advertising campaigns. 

Maria Agnes then moved to Bali to start her own fashion label, BLCKHRT, securing international stockists, included Top Shop, ASOS, Urban Outfitters, I Don't Like Mondays in New York and IT in Hong Kong. She also started her own sustainable fashion label Mariañes 7 years ago, which uses natural organic materials and natural dyes; spending two years in New York City developing the brand and obtaining an O1 visa.

Maria Agnes now lives permanently in London with her husband, continuing with her Mariañes boutique, whilst training as a Romana Pilates teacher and studying at Actor East on the Meisner Technique. 

I am also Maria Agnes also practises yoga and is a practitioner of Vipassana meditation attending 10 day silent retreats each year. Maria Agnes has Advance PADI diving certificate.
