Susan M

Bio

I'm the founder of POSTHOC Salons, a company that celebrates the power of gathering by bringing people together to share ideas, stimulate conversations, spark connections, and build community. Here, I interview the world's most interesting thinkers, storytellers and experts in front of a live audience in New York City, London and Los Angeles.

I'm the co-founder of Inclusion Pictures which is a tech-forward, character-focused, equitable production company with a focus on relevant, groundbreaking visual storytelling in film and TV. I was an Executive Producer of craigslistTV, I sit on the advisory board of the Quantitative Biosciences Institute at UC San Francisco, and I was on BBC's CBBC show Beat the Boss where I portrayed herself, an entrepreneur.

In 2010 I was injured in a fire and consider myself a burn survivor. I'm grateful for my recovery.

When I was 24, I founded Best Public Relations, a Silicon Valley boutique firm that specialized in taking little known startups and turning them into household names with high valuations. Fund raising, launching new products, IPOs, hostile takeovers and acquisitions, I've participated at all stages of the Silicon Valley ecosystem.

I graduated from Hamilton College with a BA in History and the Watrous Poetry Prize. I studied History at St. Hilda’s College, Oxford University where I was Editor of the university magazine, The ISIS. I've been profiled in many media outlets including The New York Times, Forbes, Fortune, Worth, Cosmopolitan, Sunset, The SF Chronicle and San Francisco Magazine. I split my time between NYC and California.
