 I am 56 years of age singer, dancer and fashion designer. Born in south London, sent to Lagos age 4 where i was until I returned to London age 14.

My journey in music began as the iconic dancer and Image of UK soul group Soul2Soul, whilst studying fashion design at LCF. Early 90s I relocated to New York, to pursue my solo music dream!. My first underground release was my collaboration with Afro Latin House producers Masters At Work ( Louis Vega and Kenny Dope Gonzales),. I also recorded and toured with Legendary Jazz funk master Roy Ayers and then returned home to Ldn to work with Bugz In the Attic- our collaboration Zombie a rework of Afrobeat Legend Fela Kuti became a massive hit on the broken beat music scene. Single was also in the Red Hot and Riot album tribute to Fela Kuti. I became known as the Female Fela for my social conscious driven dance music and high energy on stage. My music have taken me all over the world.

Whilst doing music I also continued designing which led me to costume commission work from Alvin Ailey Dance Theater company, Evidence a dance company by Ronald K Brown to name a few. Fans commentary after seeing my costume on stage always began with ‘Wow’ This inspired me to create WowWow by Wunmi- clothing line. I travel to Lagos for 3-4 months of the year to work with local textile artisans to create my one of limited edition seasonal collection which we sell at arts and music festivals .
